Policies

Our Invitation to You:

• We welcome solo travelers as well as pairs and groups of friends & family members.
• No prior Salsa or yoga experience is needed - many of our guests are absolute beginners!
• Women and men of all levels of Salsa & yoga experience are invited to join us.
• There is no age limit! You can learn to dance at any age and have a wonderful time! (Guests under 18 must be accompanied by an adult)
• We recommend that our guests be in good physical health to participate in our various activities.
• All Salsa Retreat guests must read and agree to the terms on our Booking Form and sign the liability waiver prior to attending a retreat.

Salsa Retreat has had the pleasure of welcoming women and men of all ages from around the world!

All retreats feature our complete Salsa, yoga & cultural program which has been designed to be enjoyed by guests of all ages and abilities.

All our retreat activities are optional and guests are encouraged to learn at their own pace and are invited to follow their bliss and enjoy many of the other activities available such as relaxing in the garden, taking Spanish lessons, getting spa treatments, exploring amazing shopping or gourmet dining and cooking classes, or experiencing the exotic culture of Oaxaca.

RESERVATIONS

A non-refundable deposit of $300 is required to hold your reservation. The balance is due and must be received by Salsa Retreat 90-days prior to the first day of your retreat. Payment can be made by check, bank transfer, PayPal or with VISA and Mastercard. Prices do not include airfare. You do not need to have your flight booked in order to put a deposit down. However, please confirm availability with us prior to booking your flights. Room descriptions are available upon request. Room selections are available on a first come first serve basis. After full payment is received we will send you a package of information outlining what to bring and additional information to prepare you for your vacation.

CANCELLATION POLICY

In order to best serve our guests and continually provide high quality services, Salsa Retreat has a firm cancellation policy. Exceptions to this policy cannot be made for any reason. It is your responsibility to read and understand the cancellation policy before making a reservation.

A non-refundable deposit of $300 is required to hold your reservation. The balance is due and must be received by Salsa Retreat before the 90th day prior to the first day of your retreat. In the event that we do not receive the full balance on the due date, we will cancel the reservation and refund any payment made less the $300 non-refundable deposit. You must cancel before the 90th day prior to the first day of the retreat in order to receive a full refund of the payment you have made less the $300 non-refundable deposit.

If you cancel within 90 days of the first day of the retreat no refund will be made. There will be no refunds for arriving late or leaving early. There are no exceptions to the above cancellation policies including personal injuries or weather.

You are required to purchase a third party travel insurance to receive full refunds in case you have to cancel your trip. Travel insurance is included in some credit cards, or can be purchased from travel insurance companies such as World Nomads - Affordable travel insurance for the smart adventurer! We recommend that you book your airline ticktes with Elizabeth Holmes Travel where you will be able to purchase travel insurance for both the Salsa Retreat vacation and your flights.

CANCELLED RETREATS

We do our utmost to maintain our standard of never canceling a retreat, but if Salsa Retreat were to ever cancel or move a retreat, guests are welcome to move retreat dates within one year of the cancellation date or their payment would be refunded in full. Salsa Retreat will not be held responsible for any additional travel expenses incurred in connection with cancelled retreats including airline tickets.

Payment to Salsa Retreat indicates agreement with this cancellation policy.

AIRLINE FLIGHTS

You will be booking a flight into the “Benito Juarez” Oaxaca International Airport (OAX). Please book your flights to arrive at Oaxaca on the first listed day of your retreat and fly out of Oaxaca on the last listed day of your retreat. Transportation will be available from the airport to the hotel. A Salsa Retreat representative will greet you at the airport on the arrival day so please schedule your flights accordingly. If you are not able to fly in on that date, public transportation or taxi to the hotel are easily available but must be organized and paid for by you. *As of January 1, 2007 all U.S. citizens need a valid U.S. passport to travel in and out of the U.S. Your passport MUST have at least 6 months remaining before expiration to be considered valid. Please check with your airline or travel agent if you have additional questions regarding necessary documentation both for you and for minors. These requirements can change without notice.
